Melissa Wallin received her MSMI (Master of Science in Medical Illustration) in 2019 from Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia and in 2011 received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
After undergraduate graduation, she worked in a research lab at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois for four and a half years. She then went on to work as a gallery associate for a fine art studio in San Francisco, California. She is an author in publications for Nature Immunology, Immunity, and Current Opinions in Cell Biology and has produced medical illustration content for Emory University, The Neurosurgical Atlas, and UWorld.
Melissa is currently a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) and is working towards obtaining status as a Certified Medical Illustrator. She is passionate about problem-solving and utilizes an analytical approach that tailors each piece to a client’s needs.
